The newly opened Embassy was designed to give priority to the ideals of transparency, openness, and equality, and represents a holistic fusion of urbanism, building, and landscape. KieranTimberlake Partner, Richard Maimon, FAIA, LEED AP BD+C, will talk about the renovation of the Ortlieb’s plant as well as the acclaimed 5-acre U.S. Embassy site in London, a project which he led.

Ortlieb’s Bottling Plant

A neighborhood landmark, the bottling plant was built in 1948 as part of the Ortlieb’s Brewing Company complex in Northern Liberties. KieranTimberlake adapted the building to meet its needs and incorporated sustainability and energy efficiency while maintaining the factory’s original aesthetic. Renowned architectural historian Dr. Emily T. Cooperman will regale us with tales about the brewing history of Northern Liberties.
