For 15 years, the Preservation Alliance has annually honored individuals, organizations, businesses and residents who have completed outstanding restoration, development or community action projects in the previous year ~ we hope that you will join us Thursday May 1, 2008 at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue for the presentation of our 15^th Anniversary Awards Ceremony and join us in celebrating these incredible achievements in historic preservation, the recent donation to the Alliance of the easement on the Bellevue and the Alliance’s remarkable landmark anniversary of this event as we commemorate 15 years of preservation triumphs.

The Awards:

Special Recognition Awards, selected by the board of directors of the Alliance , are presented to individuals and organizations that have made special contributions to the preservation field. Among these awards is the James Biddle Award for lifetime achievement in preservation.

Grand Jury Awards are given to preservation projects. These awards are selected by an independent jury of professionals from many aspects of the preservation field.

The awards are presented each year at the Alliance ’s Annual Awards Luncheon held during the first week of May. Attended each year by over 500 guests, the luncheon provides an opportunity for the preservation community to honor and recognize colleagues and contributors from all aspects of the preservation and restoration fields.

Each year prior to the Awards Luncheon and ceremony, Alabaster and Marble Sponsors, Award Recipient representatives and the Preservation Alliance Board of Directors are  invited to an exclusive reception held at one of that year’s Grand Jury Award winning locations. The luncheon kicks off a series of preservation events during the month of May, which is National Preservation Month. Events include tours, workshops, and lectures hosted by the Alliance and other preservation organizations throughout the region—all of which are listed on the Alliance ’s Events Calendar.  Click here for photos of 2007 events.
