Founded before 1905 as the Elmwood Mission Church, the St. Paul AME congregation moved from its first home at approximately 86th and Eastwick Place (see entry) to this location at an unknown date. According to Cooperman, the congregation currently occupies a building constructed after 1962 at this address.
